Default Please help! Headlight question.

I'm installing spyder headlights on my 2010. I've got the headlight assembly out. There are 3 sets of wires.. One for the main bulb. One for the turn signal, and one for the DRL.. which appears to have a larger orange bulb assembly. Does this come apart? My new headlights have a plug thing that look like its supposed to plug into the DRL wire somewhere. The instructions say it is plug in play but I don't want to destroy this harness by pulling it apart too hard..

Pictures might help. Also be prepared to get flamed for using spyder lights by some on here.

Are yours a direct halogen replacement or are you trying to use the conversion harness and using the 13' up HID set of spyders?

I managed to figure it out. The orange DRL bulb assemblies were very stubborn to detach, but I used a small pair of vice grips to push down the clip and then yanked that SOB out. I love the way they turned out. Not expontentally brighter but the projector effect is well worth it and I eventually plan on replacing the projector bulb with an LED one for more brightness.

I had the same lights before my retro and i instantly wanted to switch the bulbs. I went the LED way initially and even purchased some H7 bulbs for them but couldn't find one with a small enough diameter to fit into the mounting hole so I ended up going the HID route and selling the LED H7's locally. So ensure if you do try LED, that you find one that's not too thick in diameter to fit.

Hmmm.. Thanks for the warning! Maybe I'll just play it safe and go with PIAA halogens or something. For now I'm happy with the light quality
