Argh, we pay way too much for our trucks up here!!! My 2012 stickered for just under $67k...I paid $51k. I need to move down South!

Just wanted to say hello. Took delivery of a dealer demo'd 2013 Platinum on Saturday. I've been driving it for about a week now. New Forum member also. Traded in my 2006 FX4 for the Platinum.

Thanks fellas. Loving the Platinum more and more everyday. Especially seeing as how she's averaging about 4mpg better than my 2006 could do. Nothing quite like saving at the pump.

So I've been seeing a lot of people on the forum with the platsti-dipped trucks. I bought a can tonight, and thought I would expirement with it tomorrow. Maybe emblems and the chrome strip on the side of the truck. Prob won't leave it on there, just want to see what this stuff is all about

I plasti-dipped some items on my '06. I immediately ripped it off. I didn't like the final texture. It's great for your tool's handles, but I'm not a fan of it on MY truck. To each their own though. It's easily removed, so stuff like grilles or mirror caps will flake off with rocks and bugs, but it can be easily repaired.
Good luck with it. As always, pics or it didn't happen!!
