Is this stuff durable? I'd figure that since you can peel it off, a rock would gouge a huge chunk out of it...

It holds up to rocks and even pressure washers. It's pretty durable.

Does it chip easily if there's a scratch or something?

I want to do my stock rims. Does anyone know how well it holds up to gravel roads or snow in the winter?

From what i have read it hold up well. Check out the videos here: https://www.dipyourcar.com/pages.php?pageid=8

While they show you how to do it they talk about how it holds up and such.

Ok so I have been following this thread for a while now and I to would like to do my running boards and wheels. My question is how many coats are recomended to hold up to harsh enviorments that they subject to,( stones, salt, daily use, and washings)? another question I have is if I decide to do my wheels, am i gonna have to peel it all of when i get my tires changed? Are they gonna get scratched up from putting the tire on the rim? Thanks

If the guys at the tire shop are careful (which they probably won't be), you won't have to re-do the wheels, just put 4-5 coats on each wheel
