Plasticy Door Rattle, Uugh!
#12
others have mentioned the wire harness. I had the same kind of rattle in my doors. Mine did not start till I put in my new speakers. I found out that the plastic wire harness (for speakers) was rattling on the sheet metal of the door. I wrapped the wire harness and no more rattle. Hope this helps, rattles drive me nuts!!! I now noticed when it is really cold out, like 15 or below the windsheild squeaks!!

Hi guys, just joined this forum because I found the OP described the SAME problem I was having with my 2012 F150 Raptor. Is the ticking noise coming from somewhere behind the door lock? (Basically the rear portion of the door?) If so, this is exactly the same problem I'm having and it's driving me nuts. Please keep us posted on a fix. Thanks!!

Had panel off for the fifth time Wednesday. I did a few things and so far it hasn't returned. I will report the specifics in a few more days if it doesn't come back.
And this noise was not from a wire harness. It came from the upper door lock stem area. And it's more of a ticking sound than a rattle.

Hallelujah I hope you got it.... That TICKING sound is driving me nuts as well. Every door in seems to do it. I wanted to post about it but thought I might be sounding too picky. I should have known better, it's like the ole "if you have a question dont be afraid to ask it, probably someone else with the same question". I thought it might be where they glued that black plastic to the door, some of it was peeled off a bit. Thanks!

lol i saw this thread and had to read it, i had this rattling sound too and it was driving me nuts, always thought it was coming from the front passenger door. Luckily before i ripped a door panel off i found the problem..... a small juice bottle left in the back door storage pouch was rattling around!
