I'll be the voice of dissent here in saying pinstripes are old-fashioned. Maybe looks good on that old Ford coupe you are restoring but on a modern vehicle it looks out of place. Probably why manufacturers largely stopped doing it years ago.

I agree. It's pretty old school, but to each their own. It's the owner who has to like it and that's really all that matters.

I thought dealers stop doing it when we stopped paying $200 and more for a $10 option, so the dealers now sell nitrogin in the tires, door potection, and unlimited washes for $100's amount of money and call if a gold plan option! I still like the right stripe with the right color! I never saw an early ford from the manufacture with stripes, we always had to pay the striper at the dealer to add them.

There was a time when no car was truly cool without pinstriping and a vinyl roof applique. Fortunately those days were over some time ago for most of us. But hey each to their own if you like it go for it.

Ive actually de-pin-striped my last two vehicles and the only reason i havent stripped my bike is that its under the clear coat... To say it isnt my thing is clearly an understatement and I agree with the latest round of opinions that it has its place, but a nice clean solid color works best on modern vehicles.

I like pinstriping. And flames.

$56 delivered for 150 feet of the tape shown, Sept. 2009. I still have over 100' left, for touchups if needed.
