Default A Pillar Speakers

Anyone change the pillar speakers in their truck? I am curious if they use the same connector as the door speakers. Any help would be appreciated. I am adding a link for the door speaker connectors.

I have JL Audio 6.5" components in the front doors, which of course includes a tweeter as part of the package. I can tell you the factory tweeter does NOT use the same connection as the factory door speaker. You have to wire up something yourself to make it work. Since I had to wire up the crossovers anyway, I ran all new wires up to the pillars for the new tweeters. Very easy to do as there is ample access right there.

I haven't looked at the connection. But, hoping I don't have to cut factory ends off of the wiring.

Factory tweeter runs to a plug I beleive you can access via the removable defroster panels on the sides of the dash. Doesn’t matter though, if you’re not buying a new component set to replace the mid and tweeter with a crossover to run new wire to the tweeter at least it’s not worth the money to do it.

I replace all of the speakers and installed the kicker sub. The other speakers were the Kicker RS series which had a very good tweeter. I just left the stock ones there.
