So I was replacing my thermostat, accidentally bumped off the sensor in the pipe running from the CAC to the Throttle body. I went to start my truck and it sounded like sh***t. Barely noticed the plug was loose. Well it blew two codes and and immediately resolved the issue. Erased the codes and it said two left. Well it was the same codes except it said permanent now.
Will they auto erase eventually or is it something I can do with my Actron AutoScanner Plus code reader.
I was thinking a drive cycle monitor test?
or would it be under one of the diagnostic monitor tests?
Truck is 2013 F150 3.5 w/ 99k miles
Truck drives normal now, boosts fine, vacuums fine, power is fone

1st time I ever seen anything like that, I wouldn't worry about it if the truck runs good and no check engine light on. Could be some sort of bs included by the manufacturer of that brand scan tool. Check it with Forscan.

Exactly, and I thought maybe it was the tool so I checked it with torque, same thing except instead of the red x it was this green check. Forscan same thing, permanent.
I researched permanent codes in general and apparently they're new start 2009 and forward. Something about not being able to just clear codes for smog checks without fixing the issue
