Default Perma plate

My co worker had it put on 2012 screw XLT. It's $299.00. Is it worth it? Your thoughts!

I did some searching, it kinda looks like a ripoff. there's reapplications you have to buy (the materials anyway) to maintain the warranty. the occasional bottle of turtle wax, armorall & scotch guard will do the same thing.

I have had it since new (a little over a year). I paid a onetime fee of $299 for a four year warranty. Noticed my windshield had a small crack a few months ago. Called the Perma-Plate warranty number on my paper work and had a new windshield within 5 days. No cost to me. Then stopped by the dealer the following week to have the coating applied again. No charge for the reapplication.

All I know is that its a good deal for me because I go through on average one windshield a year here in colorado with all the gravel they put on the mountains roads in the winter.

So ask your dealer first to make sure reapplications are covered, but i know for a fact i was not charged for the reapplication and no BS fees to have the windshield replaced by Safelite.
