Performance tune activation switch idea
I have an idea. Why couldn't someone find a way to have a performance tune activated on demand by way of external switch?
We all have somewhat of electronic activation tune by way of "Tow haul" mode switch. Its kinda the same thing right? The tow haul mode changes the shift points so I can't see why it can't have the computer change AFR, shift points, timing and whatever performance needs are. Then the operator could switch back to economy mode. Hhhhhmmm, something to think about.

I know on GM's using EFI Live you can essentially have 2tunes enabled(tow/haul on or off), i had my gmc set up this way. Never heard of the fords being able to do this due to having to use an SCT tuner to upload tunes.
I am sure it has been looked into by every tuning company. I asked MPT about the tow haul button and the response was that it is only related to shifting and cannot change engine aspects. Disappointing. Uprev for Nissan incorporates 4 tunes that you can toggle between with the cruise control buttons (when cruise control is off obviously.) Cobb, on subaru lets you actually tune on the fly, not just switch maps.
