Question Painting mirror caps and door handles

I just got a white 2010 SCREW and wanted to paint some of the plastic to match the truck. I was wondering if anyone had painted the top mirror caps or the door handles themselfs. If so what primers, paint, & clear coat did you use?

I have an XL. It had the black grill and lower valance under the headlights. I used a plastic primer first then I used a white primer over that just because my finish color is white. I used Plasticote from Baxters autoparts.

It has been done. I've seen someone here that painted the caps on their mirrors.

There are a few threads on this very topic. Try searching for paint to match (PTM).

I need to find out how to disassemble a mirror to have the caps repainted a different color.
