Childish Comments
I was raised with the thought of "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all." Someone does a quality modification to their vehicle and more than one person takes childish, immature jabs because they think that it is inferior. I see this a lot around here - is it really necessary to bad mouth someone's work that they are proud to share? Must be nice to be so perfect...

Thanks for the compliments that were given...now as far as the hating...grow up. I didn't put anyone's crap down and rather than calling me a home economics student, it could have been said that you would have opted for the cleaner look of the Platinum's console lid.
As far as the looks of it, I know its not perfect, but I dont think its half bad considering I did the upholstery myself (sure I could have paid someone to do it but then I may as well have bought a pre-done one) and crammed an inch thick pad in there. I even said it doesn't look as nice as the other ones I could have bought, but I paid 1/4th the price and got more padding than if I had purchased a pre-made one, which was my intent in the first place. I understand not everyone will have issues with their elbow (good for you, don't try to make me look stupid for it), but it hits mine right in between the two bones in that "funny bone" area, and for some reason it causes me issues. Perhaps because I have boney arms and don't have my own padding.
As far as cleaning my truck...well, I actually did right after I took the pics and maybe I should have waited to take them until afterwards, but I was excited about it. Plus...the only thing really out of place was the beef jerky bag in the floor. I am sick currently, as is why I have kleenex readily accessible in the passenger seat, and I had cups in my cup holders from the night before (I guess the cup holders are for show and shouldn't be used?). Use the cup in the door as a trash can for smaller things.

You were "having issues" with your elbow because of a hard armrest? Do you LIVE in your truck or something? I've never heard of such a thing.
Anyway, the padding looks cool and comfy. I would have never thought of doing this as I have zero "issues" to date from sitting in any vehicle I've ever owned.

I haven't had any issues yet with the Ford and since getting rid of the dodge, the elbow seems to have improved. Do like this though....

Ignore the haters. It's looks fine and considering the money spent and the fact that it's DIY, I give it two thumbs up.

Sorry for my mis-read!

I hate the hardness of the center console too, and I always end up wearing a spot into the console where I rest my elbow. I ordered the black cover with the red stitching and will be installing it this weekend. I really appreciate you sharing this and giving me this idea. I'll post pics of the finished product.
