What are the common causes for a p0446 in these trucks? 11' 5.0

Was on and off now it's more on

Start very simple with checking the plug and the wiring for any damage

The plug to the canister? Where is the canister on these trucks?

If it's the box under the drivers side around the drivers door area I unplugged it, looked ok, and tugged on the 2 wires and go nothing

Where it's at exactly, I'm not sure. But if it all looks good, you can do the testing or go ahead and replace the valve solenoid; ~ $80.

Is the valve solenoid in the engine bay? And if it gets to the testing I might try it. Doesnt seem to affect the running of the truck.. I just didnt know if there was a super common problem with these, like a bad wire, solenoid etc..

Can someone tell me or send me a picture of what color wires go where in the plug....mine got tore out from a branch and has thrown the code....i have a new solenoid but id rather know where the wires go first before i throw money away by having it plugged in wrong
