Just having some wobbly pops and a strange idea came to me. What is I put some vinyl letters over the puddle lamps. Would they show up on the ground or would they get washed out? Maybe a batman signal? Heh, anyone try this yet. Would be cool if you saw FORD on the ground every time you unlock the doors in the dark.

Not exactly what I meant, but definitely the effect I was talking about. I have the tow mirrors with the puddle lamps built in, so was thinking of putting a vinyl sticker over the lens to see if it shows the silhouette on the ground. I am thinking it wouldn't work, but would be cool if it did!

printable transparency paper and tape would yield a go/no go test me thinks. since the current puddles are not a direct beam, I agree and think it would get washed out though....

 

The mustang projects mustangs on the ground, its pretty cool.

 

I have the new power folding tow mirrors on my truck and I was shocked to see that they don't have puddle lamps
