Question Overheating issue 2012 Ecoboost

Any help is appreciated 2012 Ford F150 King Ranch 4wd Ecoboost has overheating issues when driving it occurs randomly. It has happened when driving in the neighborhood or even at highway speed within thirty minutes or as long as two hours of driving. I have also let the vehicle sit running in my driveway for four plus hours today and the other day with no issue. To start need to state a new water pump, radiator, thermostat, and coolant reservoir cap. Turbos also replaced last month new oe, along with coolant tubes and jiffy fittings from Dorman. Also tried running without a thermostat still overheating randomly. Have performed compression test, as well as pressure test on the cooling system. Also used the head gasket leak detector test kit fluid didn't change tested multiple times.

"Welcome " I'll ask1 question ...did you install an OEM thermostat ??? If not the most probable cause is that stat you installed... Proved many tines with the use of non Oem stats your engine will overheat !! CTC stats here in Canada / Duralast (Advance auto) from Autozone & have heard stat's from Oreillys all have the overheat issue... Personally I have had 2 stat failures using CTC stats here in Canada... I think it has to do with improper coolant flow once the stat opens ??
Change out the stat if you didn't use Oem & like will fix your issue !!
Also post back with what fixed your issue so others can learn....Good Luck !!

Not positive if I've heard the motorad has is on the failure list but @ this point I would almost guarantee it is your issue .... My ctc stats overheated in 10 minutes of driving in cool 70 degree temps as soon as I neared 60 mph....Took it back right away with a OEM stat in hand & never had an issue since....You will know almost right away once you change the stat....Again good luck !!

You cant run without a thermostat. Thats not how the cooling loop works. When the thermostat opens it closes off the radiator bypass. I would imagine it WOULD overheat with no thermostat since it would not be sending the coolant to the radiator.

Thats what that little spring loaded plate at the bottom of the thermostat is for. As the stat opens, that plate pushes down against the bypass opening that brings the coolant under the manifold from that back of the motor. It closes it off and then the other side of the stat opens up the outlet hose of the radiator and so coolant is sucked from the radiator by the pump.

A shop put in a Motorad last October because they couldnt get a hold of a motorcraft t-stat and it immediately was causing high temperatures. I was seeing 230+ degree coolant temps just driving around in 50 degree weather in an empty truck. As soon as I replaced it, it was back to normal.

Stant or Motorcraft have been good for me.
