I have a 2009 f150 the compass shows up on the dash display but the temp does not. I was wondering if there was an easy fix

 

I had this happen on my last Ford. The temp sensor inside the front bumper went bad and needed replacement. Thought it was an odd place for the sensor but hey Ford engineers have proven to be a "special" bunch. (grumble grumble oil filter not readily reachable grumble)

 

My compass works fine temp reads 140 degrees year round any suggestions, its on the overhead console in a 2001 screw
