Default Outside temperature wrong....

Its about 30C...86F here today. My temp gauge is showing 12-13C (2010 f150) I have noticed before at times my temperature was off, but never by this much. Anyone know how to recalibrate it? Or is it even possible? Maybe my sensor is busted? Where would that be located?

Any thoughts or ideas appreciated... Thanx

is your truck in the shade? mine does this same thing. when it is hot just baking in the sun mine will show hotter than what it really is untill i start driving and cool it down. i would guess with a little wind and in the sade it will do the same thing. every vehicle i have owned has been this same way.

Nope... full sun. I took it for a spin, still same. Temp stays at 12-13c.... Mine does that hotter/colder, same as yours ... or did that. But now it looks fried...

On my Jeep, it couldn’t be calibrated, so it was replaced under warranty. AFAIK, it’s a thermocouple, so if it goes bad, it has to be replaced.

I guess as a long shot, you can disconnect the battery for ten minutes to reboot the computer, but this is just a wild guess on my part.
