Question Orginal Back-Up camera Upgrade

I upgraded my entertainment center to a telsa style and the backup camera now looks like an old VHS tape playing. Can I swap out the existing camera to a better quality one? If so any recommended camera to swap to?

The replacements from camerasource.com are great plug-and-play stock replacements. Very well built and image quality that is way better than the stock camera. You'd have to call and ask if it would work aftermarket displays. But for the OEM display, its the best choice if you want to drop the $$$$. Money well spent IMO. I have the front camera and blind spot cameras as well. Seemless integration into the stock display, but again you'd have to confirm fitment with your specific aftermarket display.

I added a Camera Source backup camera setup to my son's 2014 XLT last year. The backup camera itself was a Ford part number in Motorcraft packaging. The viewing experience through the stock display on the dash is very clear.

Wow, I just checked their site and it looks like they only have OEM-grade options anymore. Its been about 5 years since I replaced my camera, but back then they had an upgraded option with nearly twice the resolution and much better minimum lux ratings for night vision. If they truly are only selling an OEM replacement anymore, there are probably much cheaper options. The prices they want now for an OEM replacement seem crazy to me...

The backup camera and emblem were just a part of the overall package cost. They have their wiring harness and interface Hardware to work with the original truck configuration. It's very clear and I'm very happy with it.
