Default Ordering a new truck ,question on haggling price

If I build a NEW truck on the ford website and the MASP comes out to $50k on the build sheet with destination and options ,can I haggle the price with the dealer.
Iv never built on ordered one so don't know what to expect

Better luck haggling with one that's already on the lot. I'm sure if u do a 100 mile search u will find the exact one ur looking for already sitting on a lot

I ordered mine they sold it to me at 500 over cost less any rebates that were in force at that time in my area. Plus a few rebates I got from a mail out from ford 750 and my job 500. I think the only thing you can negotiate on is how close you can order at dealers cost. I was also locked in to current rebates and if they increased I got the increase.

depends on the dealer. I get a better price when I order mine because it's a guaranteed sale.....

When I order, we agree on the price the day of the order. If the rebates get worse before the truck comes in, I still get the negotiated price. If the rebates get better, I get the better price.

Have you tried building it on Edmunds, Nada, or maybe carsdirect site and compare those prices.

My dealer gave me invoice minus rebates on my Platinum order. But, I have bought several new vehicles from them. Like H-60 said, try www.edmunds.com, www.kbb.com, to get the invoice price on your build. Keep in mind neither of these site show the "ad fees" (approx. $650 which we all pay now) or the dealer "doc fee" (which most dealers have now). All in all you should be able to get the same deal as you would if you bought an in stock truck.

I go for 25% off MSRP
Right now I have 2 offers for 22% off MSRP ,
Iv been searching for a couple months, just waiting for the end of the year .
Within the next 2 weeks I'll either have 1 off the lot or ordered.

I'll give Edmunds and KBB a shot, I dont know where they get their#s from but if I would have gone by that last year when I bought the Platinum,I would have spent a couple grand more then what I did.

$500 over cost and $500 of the hold back would be more like it
