Hello All,

Im new here and I have recently ordered my first Ford Truck which is also my first new truck! I ordered the 2012 FX4 appearance package screw with luxury package as well as the ecoboost in tuxedo black. I ordered on 30/03/2012 and my dealer called me this week saying that there was a large delay in these truck and it could be a substantial wait. Just wondering if any of you have experience with an order on one of these beauties or if you have any info on the back log. Any help would be really appreciated if the wait is going to be a really long one I may have to change my dream truck for something else. Thanks in advance.

I read somewhere on here that ordering for the 13 model year will begin in May. Production to begin in August(or something like that). Perhaps they are not going to take orders for the 12 model year, as they prepare for 13 production. I don't know this to be for sure, but it could explain it.

 

i ordered my 2012 lariat supercrew eco with chrome, offroad, flow thru, nav, and sunroof in metallic white on feb 3rd and got it march 29. they must be on parts restriction for something.

 

I have read about a shortage of the rim/rubber but haven't seen many people post actuals for the time it took to receive the order. Hoping that the greater than 12 weeks the dealer told me today isn't actually true.
