Default Opinions wanted for headlight colors

Alright so I want to get some of your guys opinions as to what color scheme for a set of retrofitted headlights would look good on my 2012 Platinum and why you think that way. I made a set a few months ago with Mini 7.0's and panamera shrouds. They were eBay headlights and I was never super happy with them due to function (Mini 7.0 performance and install). I just purchased Mini D2S 4.0 projectors (had Mini 3.0's on my Ram and loved them) and am going to open up the old set and see if it would be easy enough to just swap out the projectors. I had an issue with the driver side projector bouncing a little over bumps and it drove me nuts. If I can't fix this with the new projectors then I will start over with a new set of lights.

Anyways....I want to see if people like the all black look I did originally with just leaving the Panamera shrouds chrome.....or if I should leave the lights all chrome and not add any black. Here are some pics for you guys to help make a decision. Any input is appreciated and I'm curious to hear what people say. I'm torn on either way and I like both schemes depending on the day. Truck has plenty of black and some chrome on the mirrors and grille.

Thanks!

I think what you had before looks good. The chrome shrouds with the black buckets and black bezel makes them pop with the other chrome.

Thanks for replying! Yeah I was leaning that way anyways, kind of because I wouldn't have to paint and buy new lights but putting the stock chrome lights back on made me question things again. I would even consider leaving the bucket chrome and painting the bezel tux black like I did. I agree with you and like the shrouds chrome plus painting the switchback Panamera shrouds would be painstakingly time consuming and tedious.

Thanks! Yeah the paint is color matching from Automotivetouchup.com and it's a perfect match. The sparkle is amazing! I wish my truck looked like that again. Haha.

I did my shrouds in black and they seemed to loose all the detail when looking at them from a few feet away.

Those look good....but I see what you mean. Gives me a good idea of how mine would look black. I think you are right about the contrast with chrome and the black.

I personally think blackout is the only thing on the stock OEMs that looks good. I would also tint the turn signal bowls and side marker reflector until they're a grey.

I've seen people get cutesy with color matching them and it just doesn't look good, in my opinion. The main problem is that, although it looks awesome normally, your grill is going to stick out like a sore thumb. Would look cool with surround painted black or just the whole grill black.
