Default Power

The power on my 5.4 is just fine for me we have a yukon with a 5.3 and there's no difference I traded in a 09 Dodge ram crew with the new 4.7 a fiberglass bed cover the weight is the same as my f150 the two motors are rated at the same HP the 5.4 has more pulling power and torque.

I have to agree with everyone on the thread, I had the clunkyness a couple times when I first got my 09 but after the reprogram I get all the benifits and no clunkyness. It shifts wonderfully, firm when I want it and nice and soft when I want it. Been really good on the MPGs as well, you know for a truck. The thing I love about mine is when I throw 1/2 ton of gravel in the bed and it drives just like it was not even there. I dont care what anyone says the power of the 5.4 is great and it will be there long after I get rid of it. Drove the 4.7 dodge.............. DOG, no power, mostly due to the 5spd. The 5.3 is nice but it really lacks when you start to hual stuff.

Approaching a yr now and 33,000km. No problems with the truck. We drove it 21,000km this yr towing a 25ft travel trailer. Towing was fantastic with enough power to pass transports. Truck is set up with max. towing package and is a joy to drive and tow. Not bad for a 1/2 ton!!!
