Oil Filter recommendation...?...2013 5.0L

I use Motorcraft filters and Mobil 1 synthetic on mine.
Ever since I changed the oil and filter on my wife's Tahoe recently. (A vehicle that ONLY saw oil changes at chevrolet dealerships). I do them myself. The dealership installed the oil filter so tight that I couldn't get it off with an oil filter wrench, a screwdriver through the oil filter, or using a hammer and screwdriver to try loosening it. I had to take a Dremel to weaken the top lip of the oil filter. And hit it with the hammer and screwdriver before it even started to move.
May be Chevy, but if Chevy can do it, so could Ford. No dealership or mechanic touches my vehicles other than me. I keep all receipts and keep record on what's done on everything. At least I know it's done right if I do it.

That's been a royal PITA for me for decades.

I only use Motorcraft filters and have done so for the past 20+ years with no problems.

I did mine just today on my '13 F150. First oil change on the new truck, unknown how many it's had previous. Grabbed an FL-820S by reflex, thankfully it's the same thread pitch and gasket size. It'll do for a week till I can get time to go back and get the FL-500s.
I have only always used Motorcraft filters, but I have used Mobile1, Valvoline and Royal Purple high mileage. I put Motorcraft oil in my new truck, and I will continue to.

You'd think that, until you take your truck to get its oil changed twice. Then on the third time, you don't have time for them to do it, so you do it yourself, and you notice they did not change the filter the last two times, so it's been running the same filter for at least 15,000mi and they never told me about it.
Never buying from Beach Ford again...

I've really had a great experience with my dealer for 9 straight years.
45 years, if you include my family before me.

Since my 2015 F-150 Platinum if my first new vehicle since 1973, I thought I would start it off using this oil, in addition to Motorcraft oil filters:

Plenty of cut filters here.
Also on that site is documented evidence that Purolator filters develop a tear in the media that allows the filtration to be bypassed. Apparently Purolator corporate now knows about the issue and is supposedly working on it.
I used to use Purolator filters but with that happening I now use Amsoil filters, which have never been called into question.
