oil consumption
my 2010 stx 4x4 with the triton 4.6 has starting to use some oil.i purchased this truck used with 26000 on the odometer. changed the oil at 29000 with moble 1 synthetic and it now has 32000 and the oil level is at the bottom hole on the stick wasn't going to change it for at least 5000 to 7000 mile but i guess i add some or go ahead and change it. would me switching it to synthetic make it use oil.

If you are running a synthetic blend, you should be good for 7,500 miles between changes.
I'd add oil up to the full mark, then keep any eyeball on it every 500 miles or so.
