Default Oil change on Ecoboost sucks

To the tool who came up with the filter change setup, you suck.

Changed oil in my own vehicles for years. Looks like I won't be any more.

I do not get why everyone says this, I honestly don't think it is that bad. Sure I have done plenty that were a little easier but I have done worse also.

I used to do it myself also, always.
I now pay somebody $20 to do it, but I bring my own oil and filter, and it's a place where I can watch it being done. Well worth the $20 IMO, standing there watching it with a coffee.

I haven't done mine yet. I have never paid anyone to change my oil but now that the truck is brand new, I think it's going to the dealer while it's under warranty.

Not bad at all. Just make sure you take off a good amount of the front shield by the oil filter, and plastic square where the oil will drain from the filter, reach both hands up and turn the filter.

I did one oil change at the dealer and I swear Thor works there. That filter was on so tight my strap wrench put a giant dent in the old filter.

Oil change on the ecoboost is not hard at all. I guess im used to changing oil filters that are worse than that.

I'm just ready to hit 2,000 miles on mine so I haven't had to change the oil / filter yet. I've always done my own so I'm curious as to what the problem(s) are?

Same here. It is easier for me to change the oil in my wife's sports car(which I still do) then my F150 which is why I take it to the dealer.

Guess I'm lazy since I take it to the dealer. They do the oil rotate tires and I'm out $35.00. Heck they even run it through the wash.

Was PO'd the other day at them since they do not have a nitrogen fill station when I needed the tires filled and checked.
