Default OEM touch screen install

Hey guys.

What is all needed to add a touch screen in my truck? I just want to be able to interface with my media and have my backup camera display on it.

I found a screen for 100$. I know I would need a new dash trim but what about connecting it to the truck? BCM updates, connections, etc?

or

Would it be much simpler to buy an aftermarket setup and install it?

I'm sure it would be a lot easier and a whole lot less expensive to do aftermarket. I did a Kenwood DNX571HD it has everything you would want NAV, Bluetooth, DVD, Handsfree, backup camera and if you get the Maestro RR like I did it will display a ton of vehicle gauges, and even vehicle info like air pressure and check engine codes. I am very happy with mine
