Default OEM Rear Shock Bolt Diameter Request

Need help with verifying my bolt diameter of my rear shock. I'm having a problem with my rear shocks and need to verify the stock Ford Bolt diameter as I might possibly have a different size. If you have one laying around and can measure it for me I would be very grateful.

Existing Bolt Diameter:
Bolt Dia. .465" / 11.8 mm

Default 10mm on Upper Bolt

Just measured my upper shock bolt diameter @ 10mm using a caliper (2011 FX4). See attached pic.

Thanks for checking Driftboater.

So that's a little odd. You are at 10mm and I'm at 11.8mm, or in all actuality 12mm. Getting a little stumped here.

Anyone else? The reason why I am asking is because my Bilstein 5100 bushing diameter is larger than my stock bolts. If I were to use your bolt in the bushing that came with my Bilsteins it would be even worse.

Something is up and my vendor and I need to find out what gives.

You're welcome, no problem. Out of curiosity, my manual states that Ford recommends replacing the nuts and bolts with new ones when installing shocks. Were the stock bolts replaced when the shocks were installed? If so, were the bolts supplied with the shocks, or by the shop that installed them? Same size?
