Default OEM HID problem

It's been about -30C here lately (-22F). Last night I noticed my headlights were kind of "stuck" in-between high beam and low beam. Moving the stalk would move the shutter a bit, but not from full cut off to full high beam. Is it possible the shutter motors are frozen? Do these parts commonly fail otherwise? It seems odd that they'd both go at the same time to the same degree.

Shining on a wall, its normally a fairly straight line about 4" up, now it's about 70% of the high beam pattern.

Its cold here too and not happening to mine... if they were frozen that means moisture in headlight which you would see... and they would heat up fast once turned on

For a lack of better ideas, try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and reconnect. Maybe it will reset any circuit in there. Seems like this may fix more and more weird electronic issues on these trucks.
