Default Obsidium no more...

I always felt that the two Obsidian metallic trim pieces just stood out like a sore thumb in a truck without the center console. Since my truck has the brown/tan interior I was a bit concerned that gloss black or flat black would be too dark. I decided to take a chance on Krylon Max Oiled Rubbed Bronze. The cap is really a flat black color. Anyhow, I just feel that the truck looks more classy. Really similar to the Tremor dash but just slightly lighter.

As for the Krylon Max paint. Maybe I should have scuffed the pieces with some synthetic steel wool first as I had a couple fisheye type spots(I previously wiped it down with rubbing alcohol). At this point I was neck deep in the project so I just layed down a couple more coats and the finished product looks pretty good.

I would think the gray interior would look better with a satin black trim.

Not yet. Just google F150 Tremor dash and you'll find pics.
