Obsessed with 6th gear?
Alright, many of us have already admitted to somewhat OCD behavior towards the MPG screen in the center LCD (myself included). Now that I figured out you can hit the + button on the shifter to see what gear you're in, my new obsession is trying to keep it in 6th gear to juice the MPGs as much as possible.
Surely I'm not the only one??

Funny, me and the wife were driving down the road today and I commented on the same thing. I've noticed you spend more time in 6th then I would have thought. This is in comparison to the old manuals I have driven (ie: fifth being in the 50s)

When I first got the EB, I kinda figured I'd be laying into the turbos every chance I got. Now I find myself trying not to get them to kick in at all. However, it is awfully fun to get your foot in it every once in awhile though.

I don't need the fancy number on the screen to tell me what gear I'm in! lol
I just drive it especially after getting it tuned!

I am still ooking for the switch to turn them damn turbos off. They are killing my gas milage. Yes considering the old 4 speed goes into overdrive at 45mph with 3.31 gears, I am happy the 6 speed 3.55 goes into 6th gear at about the same or sooner. Before I got mine, I thought "More gears"? Whats the point? But they are used very well and engage all of them at low speed. This is probably a tribute to the setup and power of the engines. I too find myself accellerating while constantly pressing the + button. But then when I come to a stop and begin to accellarate again, It is stuck in 1 and the truck is so quiet I find it reving at about 5,000 rpm before I realize what is going on

I really wish I had the option to do that on my 2010 I would love to get the max out of every gear!... one thing I dont get ok ecoboost powerfull engine, turbo but so quiet?? I would love to have a turbo f-150 but ive heard my uncles and it is very quiet!!.. which to me does not make sense on a truck, but the turbo's were defnetiley a gret idea!
