Default O2 sensor code - risk??

Check engine light just came on. Stopped at a quick lube place and got them to connect their obdii gizmo to it. Returned an o2 sensor issue.

1) what does that type of error mean?
2) Being that this is Sunday and my garage of choice is closed today, what if any risk do incur driving the truck around?

2009 5.4L.

They didn't tell me an actual code - just O2 sensor.

Strangely - I had to run errands and made s few stops and now the light is off.

I had the O2 sensors going off and then stopping several times before it eventually stayed. I drove it like that for well over a year before I changed them. You may get some performance issues, but over all, it should run fine unless something else is broken too.

I am pretty sure it will be covered under warranty if it has less then 50,000 miles on it.

You should get it fixed when possible. You couuld do damage to the CAT if your mixture runs too rich for too long.
