Default Is this normal for an Upper ball joint ?

Was claying my truck this morning in prep for waxing tonight and noticed that the distance from the most outward part of the upper ball joint is just about 3/4" or so from the sidewall of the tire. This seems a little close and could be a problem?

A Problem in that if the tire moved just right that outer edge of the upper joint could scrape the sidewall?

If you have stock size tires and stock wheels there is no problem, but when people do leveling kits and stick 12.50 tires on the +44mm offset wheels, it can cut it close to the Upper Control Arm. That's why when you do lift kits they tell you to get wheels with less offset so that you can clear their knuckle and you won't hit the UCA with your wheel or tire.

Just turn your wheel lock to lock and have someone watch it to see if it ever hits. If it doesn't hit in that test than your fine it will never hit.

That's about what mine look like on both sides, but I'm running the stock 275/55/20 and I see you have some 325/18". I'll check the steering locks and see how it looks; all else fails go to the Ford lot after they close or on Sunday and check the new ones. Only thing I haven't seen a 20" wheel option on an FX4 in a couple of months.
