Default No Crank/ No Start

My 2011 F150 XlT 5.0 4x4 has had an intermittent long crank issue since I bought it this March as a second truck for my worker. The truck has 239k miles but other than the long crank runs great, surprisingly when I bought it all basic maintenance was done.

It started great cold and after driving but sometimes when hot it was hot or shut off for a few minutes it would long crank, but backing the key back a little or turning it off after a second or two of cranking and it started normal.

I went out the other day to move the truck and suddenly no crank at all. It acts just like normal in the dash but nothing happens.

Any thoughts? I tried starting in neutral and giggling the key.

Swap out the starter relay it's 40 amp. It's I believe the first or second one in that box over the radiator under the hood. Check your manual. You can swap it out with something like the rear defroster. Mine gave me trouble recently. There's also a connector under the right kick panel in the interior that could have come loose. Also it could be the lead frame in the transmission needs to be replaced. There's a post very recently on that right now and this forum.

Thanks for the reply, had enough of testing brought it to my mechanic he traced it to the pcm not always giving power to the starter solenoids so he wired a new trigger wire from a switched power source. Also the stater motor was having issues so that was replaced as well. Oh well at least it's starting and running again.
