Default no backup sensor

tried to fix my backup sensors after I fixed bad trailer wiring job, it was so bad that after first wiring fix the sensors didn't work anymore. so I bought a new wiring harness from trailer plug to 1st connection, it had all the sensor wiring too. but still no sensors. bought 4 new sensors from ebay and installed but still no good. the dash just calls out to "check backup sensors". am I missing something like a bad fuse or do I need to reset something or what??? HELP!! any info will help, thanks!

I got the same message when I installed my rear pods the first time. Is your ground good?

yes, I cleaned the brace with a wire brush and coated it with dielectric grease after bolting wire down.

checked it out more and it turns out on the dash display it won't let me select ON for backup assist, but in another area on the menu (apps) it is selected. so now what do I do to fix it? is says it's on but then it's off on that display. control module or sensors? or do I take it to the dealer for big bucks that I don't have to waste???

I've read that there is a calibration process that has to be done, although I unfortunately don't have any more info than that.
