Default Newbie questions

power but does not move.Hello, just joined and have several questions about my newly acquired 2013 F150 FX4. . I purchased this truck from the wife of a friend who has passed away. She had it taken to the dealership for all of the maintenance requirements but a few things have been ignored. It is a beautiful truck with only 89k miles. I would like to start off with one question about the Stereo radio. I noticed that the speakers sounded ratty and purchased new ones from Crutchfield after seeing they were blown. The left rear speaker does not work at all. I've swapped it with another so the speaker itself is working when connected elsewhere. Checked the wiring as far as I could and saw no frays. I was hoping someone had experienced this and could provide help.
I'm not sure if I can bring up other issues at this time, but thought I would give it a try. The rear window will not open. It has power,

rear window - a side window or the rear power slider? If its a door window and you have power at the connector but window doesnt move probably time for a new regulator (which should come with a new motor).

The rear slider has several failure modes - the motor itself could be bad, the plastic track the cable attaches to can break, so it's no longer connected. In that case you usually have to replace that slider piece and the motor as the cable gets all messed up within the motor. There are threads and youtube videos on how to do to this.

These trucks have been known to have issues with the harness where it goes into the door itself so you'd have to undo the rubber pass through to inspect it

I've got the same truck but FX2 model - it's been great. You may want to make sure the lead frame has been replaced per Ford recall otherwise you may find yourself doing 70+ MPH and tranny slamming into 1st gear. Also, keep an eye on the water pump weep hole. Water pumps on these are notorious for going out early due to previous Orange stock coolant. New coolant is yellow - reduces water pump premature failure. The other upgrade that made it a new truck for me was replacing Sync 2 radio with Sync 3 which adds CarPlay and built in navigation. A tune on your 5.0 Coyote will make the powertrain run like a sports car.
Then there's 100's of other fun mods this forum is full of great info on.
Enjoy the new truck.

the fix for it not slamming into 1st while doing 70mph is a programming update. If you buy a new lead frame and it fails without the software update it'll still slam into first. Make sure the programming is done and replace the lead frame if/when you have issues.
