Default New truck.. Line-x dripped on the bedside

I just bought my new 2011 on monday. Part of the deal was to have line-x spray the bed liner. The dealership came and picked up the truck yesterday morning and dropped it off while I was at work. I didn't really get to look over it till I got off. I noticed the line-x material had dripped down the side of the bed and is STUCK to the paint. I also noticed an extreme amount of overspray on the paint. Can they remove this stuff safely?

The truck should have been masked to prevent overspray. Bug and tar remover or denatured alcohol (isopropyl) can remove it... but you shouldn't have to do that.

Alcohol will remove it no problems. The truck should have been masked off. But in the booth overspray can happen.

I may try some alcohol. I may come out ahead that way. Not sure I could stand to watch someone rub on it with a shop rag.

Bad installer, have them fix it. Unless the specs are real small, you might damage the paint removing them. These bed materials are very solvent resistant (if not proof) once dry so I find it a little hard to believe that a little alcohol will remove it easily.

Let the dealer worry about it.

Just to confirm, denatured alcohol *will* remove Line-X. It is what installers use to clean up overspray.

No question about it, I would have the dealer responsible for removing it and possibly fresh clear coat after.

What an exciting lunch hour.. Got to sit and watch line-x guy wipe overspray off my truck for 2 hours.... They used 3M adhesive remover to get it off.

Lets hope they didn't use the general purpose 6041. Its not for cured products (aka Line-X) and will fog your clear coat. That would be strike 2?
