Default New Tire Advice

I bought my 2010 Lariat in Dec and it now has 40k miles on it. I haven't been paying attention to my tires but its time for new ones. The rears are worn down and the fronts have a little tread left. I'm going to rotate them to buy a little time but I'm going to need to replace them soon. I've been searching through threads but it seams like most are leveling and getting larger tires. I'm just looking for stock size. I put yokahamas on my navigator and hated them and ended up going with mastercrafts recommended by the guys at town fair tire. Those seemed much better but I'd like to go in with a little more knowledge so any recommendations would be helpful. I always feel like I'm getting ripped off every time I switch my tires out.

I'm definitely doing all 4. I'm just rotating them now to buy me a couple of weeks before I get my new ones in. Thanks for the info. I'll look in to getting those

I was gonna say those tires aren't even at the wear bars yet.

I've been eyeing the cooper at3's but really I think the michelins are more to your needs. Not sure you're really looking for an all terrain tire.

Ian

PS: hard to tell in a pic but looks like you might be a bit overinflated, judging by the wear I see.

I'm not really going off road. I'd like something that does well in ice and snow though. I didn't think about them being over inflated but that makes sense given the pattern of the wear

Sounds like the Michelin LTX M/S2 is what you want. Good road manners, good tread wear, and good traction when the going gets yucky. My two cents.

PS: Mythbusters proved that slightly over inflated tires will improve mileage slightly. So not all bad.
