Default New struts for the F150

Was doing a tire rotate on the truck yesterday, and was doing a front end inspection as well and noticed the passenger strut was leaking fluid, and the driver side had a crack in the upper plastic, exposing the jounce bumper.

Took it in to get checked by the dealership, and am getting two new struts in the morning.

Something you all may want check really well.

Truck only has 12k miles and has not been offroad yet..

Nice catch! That's bad for only 12k miles. Do you do any kind of offroading?

Most I've done is some winter driving to a hunting cabin, which didn't even need 4x4. Most of the miles are from 3 trips to the UP. So nope, I wish I could claim I beat the truck up more it would provide me with some satisfaction of getting some work out of the truck.

Mine were both gone at 10,000 miles. Bought a set of 5100's and had them installed under warranty. Worked out great for me.

As in they installed them for free?? or they paid for the shocks?

Just a random question, maybe one of you guys might know. 2011 5.0 XLT, when the steering is turned all the way to the lock, in either direction and you hit a dip or bump (ie. driveway dip, etc) do you get a nasty screech when the suspension compresses and bounces back up? Truck has not been off road. It's been going on since I bought the truck and have not been able to identify why this happens. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Default New struts for the F150

I noticed that a couple days ago when I was rotating my tires as well.
Never considered that Ford, would put new struts in.
I will be making a call.

Talked to my local dealer today and was told as long as it's not leaking they can't replace it but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it
