I have a 2014 FX4 Ecoboost and a 2016 4x4 5.0, from this point on I will only buy the eco boost engine. The eco boost engine is more responsive and I like driving in it a lot better. Now I do like the V8 too, but there is just something I like better about the eco boost. Just my opinion.

Here's a 2018 with Bilstein 6112 in the front, set at the highest lift, and Bilstein 5100 in the rear. Damn

near perfectly level. Will be going to 275/60R20 to give it just a little more heighth.

Rides just a tad stiffer now but much better than stock in my opinion.

Here's a better photo in the same spot. 3 weeks post install and 700km towing my 6200# trailer.

For what its worth, I have always had V8’s. I went w the 3.5 EB bc it was supposed to be new and amazing. I hated it at first and even had an engine go out, which of course they replaced. I am not a fan of the 10spd Transmission But that you have no choice of. What I can tell you is now that I am used to the 3.5 EB I am loving how fast this thing is. It freaking flys. I even went back to the dealer and told them I wanted to trade it for a 5.0 V8. So they gave me one to drive. Almost immediately I realized there was no way I was going back to the V8. It is slow compared to the 3.5 EB. But go drive them. And not just around the block. Get an “extended” demo before you choose. Good luck.

New to the forum and can't figure out if the setup up I'm trying to accomplish will work......I have a 2007 2wd xlt crew cab short bed I did a 2.5 inch rough country level on the front and nothing in the rear I am trying to fit 285/70 r17 tires on 17x8.5 with 0 offset they have 4.75 inches of backspacing if someone could let me know if they have any clue if this will fit I would greatly appreciate it as I have been trying to find the exact same set up for a long time now and have had trouble finding it. I am not really concerned about the tires fitting because from what I have read I am fairly confident that they will fit, I am more concerned about the wheel backspacing and offset and if the tire will clear the control arm without rubbing as the wheel is not quite the 5-6 inch backspacing I saw was recommended for this setup on the first page of the thread but I believe that was with a 33x12.50 and the tire i am looking to fit is only 11.20 wide.

Thank you very much in advance.

My '78 F350 with Monroe shocks front, nothing (from factory) in the rear. Talk about a stiff ride.

Jan. 2017 just B4 cab off resto.
