Finally after looking at the recon website for many months now ... I broke out the wallet and pulled the trigger on recon smoked black third brake light and tail lights ( with recon reverse bulbs.... Can't believe they sold me on 80 dollar bulbs.. guess I'm a suckered for punishment) as well as a 60 inch white lightning tail gate bar ...

Super excited to scratch this off the list of mods

Anybody running a recon set up, or any gear i mentioned here ?

Yep. I installed the Recon smoked tail lamps and third brake lights on my 2014 F150. Did so in early September, (I bought the truck new in mid-August of this year).


So far so good. It definitely improves the truck's looks.


The tail lamps do not fit exactly like the OEM lamps, but fit well enough. I had to do a little touch-up where the OEM lamps had rubbed off the paint and of course this was not noticeable until I installed the Recon tail lamps.


The Recon tail lamp brightness is good. The brake lights not so much, which is a little disappointing. I was expecting more of an increase in the brightness when the brakes are applied.


Regardless, I am still satisfied with the Recons.

 

Never got too many replies on my topic.. however I felt I would post anyways and how easy install was ..

Recons tail gate 60 inch bar is a bit of a nightmare ... I had to cut one spot in patucular to get around a groove in rear of truck ... also had to reposit in 2 of the mounting sticker peices ..
That being said it is universal I guess.. I just figured it wasn't since I ordered it through the website on the f150 2013 tab there...

Tails lights fit almost perfect like the current poster said ... however barely noticeable unless your strongly looking for it... and the screw holes slightly never lined up making it hard to fasten..

Third brake light was a Charm to install..easy easy..

I am over all pleased and absolutely love the new look ..

I'll post some pics of the problem areas ...
I'll later post pics of the truck lit up ...
