The scoop up front has a channel that takes air straight through an opening right above the intake, this particular intake has a seal around the top and butts right up to the ram air opening inside the hood... I'll run out and take a pic of the underside in a bit and post for you...

Here's the underside where the channel dumps into the intake, I tried to get one of the whole underside but that pretty black paint had a bad glare and you couldn't see the features....
