Thanks for allowing me to join! I have a 2012 F150xlt with the 3.7 engine, different engine with about 80k miles was installed when 1st engine failed at 162k miles. Now, when I have to idle for a time when I try to take off engine will sputter, hesitate, take off then do it all over again until I just have to pull over and shut it off until it cools down a bit. Weird! Anyone ever hear of a problem like this? Or have any ideas?

Sounds pretty common for engines everywhere. Is everything clean? Throttle, air filter, spark plugs, fuel injectors, air sensors, exhaust......
