Default New MFT Update?

I just got back from the SEMA show. I was talking to a Ford employee at the Ford exhibit. I told him I wish the rear park aid lines would move with the steering wheel. He assured me they JUST released an update and it does indeed move with the steering wheel. I asked him ARE YOU SURE.. because I checked for an update a week before I came. I just got home and checked and it says my software is up to date... anyone hear rumors of this?

Not sure about the new f150's (mines a '12), but my wife's '13 SHO lines move with the steering wheel. Kind of a nice feature.

Come on really?

Have we become that dependent on tech that you want lines to show where maybe your truck will go?

I say if you need that, sell it and get a smaller vehicle.

There is no real need for it.. however its older technology that should have been included in this nav/backup system on a 50k truck. It was mentioned to me at the SEMA show and I could not find it on syncmyride.com, so I figured why not ask on here?

It also seems in your signature that you have a lot of mods that are "not needed", so maybe if this topic does not interest you, you can just stay out of it?

Most of my mods are practical and don't help me "drive"! I do have a back up camera that assist me when hitching my trailer but other than that it stays off.

Why should it have been included? Just because of the price point? I wouldn't buy a 50k truck if I couldn't drive it without the assistance of curving lines on my camera!

Next people will want a forward facing camera with turning lines so they can she where there wheels will track going forward.

Just walks in and takes a crap in someone's living room, classy.

Anything that makes a vehicle easier to drive is a good thing.

Not an accurate statement as I've been witness to many accidents that were caused by technology that make people complacent.

Not his living room, this is more like communal living.

Also not accurate, 2nd post said "That would be nice feature to have." - he never said he needed it. For all we know he could parallel park a semi-truck without mirrors.

Wasn't referencing his post but that's always possible. I know I can race down urban roads in a 47 ft rig without such devices. People become to complacent on these technologies and instead of being alert and paying attention to driving they expect the nannies to do their work!
