I love my bedrug. Super easy to powerwash out, soft if you are crawling around on it, and doesn't scratch anything up, and things stay where you put them (normally)

I thought it was silly at first to have a "carpeted" bed....but man is it nice now that I have lived with it for a few years.

Consider a set (such as i posted) they're only going to go the same way in the end, and you likely found the individual prices would add up to a lot more than the set would cost. Glad they currently fit though, that seems relatively unusual.

I don't think it is really, just seems it's more likely to have a minor drawback on MPG in the long run. I too was happily looking for XLT's and just as you found, my white Lariat was a good deal, same thing, great maintenance, one owner etc.

I would highly recommend changing all the oils though, Ford calls them all (nearly all) lifetime fills, which in their terminology is 150k miles - however it's generally considered not likely to last that long at all, and the parts it can wear out are very expensive. I've done my rear diff, tcase and front diff (though that's a difference story and now needed rebuilding) just my auto trans to go.

That mat/carpet thingy one looks good, cool you have the extender, mine doesn't, but came with a Truxedo QT bed cover.

My bed was obviously used as a truck, and whilst not bashed in, is clearly scraped and battered from use, so even with a mat, it'll look fairly unsightly, that's making my begrudgingly consider something like a LineX spray in, but they're ~$500! We'll have to see how annoying the painted bed is, my previous truck? super annoying, bought a horse stall mat which was great, but they're not big enough for the F150.

I believe this generation of the 09-14 of F150, the 5.0 is the generally safer, potentially less problem inducing choice.

I almost pulled the trigger on a comparable EB but honestly, I thought the 5.0 in the same price range gave me the option to purchase a "better" optioned truck for the same money, since I don't finance cars, I have to liquidate assets like stocks, sell off a few things to stay debt free.

My take then and now is still the same
  1. 5.0 - Better overall sound
  2. 5.0 - Carbon build up not a real issue with the right fuel and additives
  3. 5.0 - Some options to add power via the Coyote platform
  4. 5.0 - Generally cheaper to buy and maintain
  5. EB - Just faster
  6. EB - More low end torque
  7. EB - Maybe better fuel economy? But if you drive it like a V6 out of the boost, why even buy it
Just my thoughts

If you had a turbo 5.0, would you buy it?

I would not buy a turbo 5.0, whether I had owned it before or not. Supercharged, maybe. Turbo would be more work, and who knows what all has happened during and after adding those to a Coyote.
