Default New gears...... New crazyness

Im sure this has been brought up before,

But I had all new gears put in 2009 4.6l 3v XLT


It came with 3.55, they went out 2 wks ago

Today I grabed my truck amd the put 4.56 and a Posi


Well at traffic flow my speedo is wayyyy out pf control. Says im going 100mph at 65~70

Any way to fix?

I even have a programmer installed

Wow... That's odd... And somewhat makes me take a step back... because I was actually wanting to do this. I have an 09 with the 5.4 in it. Did the shop you took it to recommend anything?

well you obviously have to adjust the programmer for the different gears as well as the correct tire size... aside from that, can't think of anything.

Where does one adjust that? I feel like I've only been able to change tire pressure.

there should be a setting in the programmer for gearing and tire size. I have an SCT it was as simple as checking boxes on a scroll down menu.

Short of buying a programmer, I don't think there's any other way to adjust the speedometer error.

if it's a SCT model tuner, it will be under user adjustable options.

And that's some steep gears for a DD! What rpm's are you tachin at say 70 mph?
