Default New Ford owner here

Hey folks I just bought a 2012 fx4 ecoboost Canadian scab! It has 3.73s, max towing, and just about every goodie box that was checkable (love the coolers leather seats). I'm pretty stoked! I'll post pics when I get it back from the dealer, it's getting new michelin at2s, tint, and detailed. I look forward to learning as much as possible!

Congrats and welcome....
Yes, that's the first unwritten rule, if you buy or do something, you must post pics, or it didn't happen....officially.
Hope you got a good one. If by chance something isn't right, this is definitely the place to get help with the issue.

I saved thousands of dollars, with 'do it myself' repairs on my 2005 and it's been a great source for add-on's for the 2014.

Welcome to the family and the forums. We are generally a bunch of misfits, with a common affection for our trucks. (Tho some of us hate our trucks, and come here to complain, or bash them, they are the minority) word of caution tho, this site will have you spending money on your truck in no time. Enjoy the new wheels.

This one will remain very stock. I hunted for the exact truck that did everything I want as it came from the factory. At the most important will install 5100s on the lowest setting (I need to tow heavy and hate the nose up look). I also plan on drilling a weep hole in the CAC.
I had a 06 Titan that I lifted. After all was said and done it looked cool and rode like a Cadillac, but I had diminished it's "truck" capabilities. That's the reason I went with lite ATs in the stock size.

I hope it's a good one.

Ok, no tuners, no bed covers, no visiting the mods for under $50, no led bulb replacements, no exterior lights,.... Good luck with that

Congratulations on the new ride, and good luck with your "no mods" decision. I tried, but just couldn't.

I'm talking no lifts, stereos, crazy tuners, down pipes, Flux capacitors, looking at the truck 50% disassembled for four days.

It has a folding cover already. I might wire up some little led cube rear lights. I need to tow a 9k tractor and trailer to the deer lease 3-4 times a year, I will not do anything that will diminish my ability to do that.
I'm only 32 but I've grown out of my affection for loud pipes and mud tires singing me a headache. The ecoboost is quite as a church mouse....I think that's just the coolest thing ever nowadays.

I understand now, and believe me I'm the same about tires singing, and the drone of the mufflers. I stopped that years ago. Mine are those small mods also, but one or two took a little bite out of the wallet.
