So I just splice the two wires that appear to be coming from the cutoff shield to the high beam wires that would have previously given the high beam signal to my h13 bixenon hids? Currently those two wires run to the plug that connects to the factory connection. Do I just cut them from that and splice them to the harness so basically the plug on the back of the housing won’t be used at all?

Do you have an H11 HID bulb now?
The setup should be similar.
I am not sure which plug you may be talking about.

I was running h13 hids in the stock reflector housings. I’ve ordere h7 hids. The plug that I’m thinking will basically be bypassed is this one that when using the halogen bulbs just plugs into the stock headlight plug

Yea, no longer needed. As long as the passenger side is hooked up to provide switch power and high beam voltage.

After about 9 months, I'm finally getting around to upgrading the projectors and upgrading to HID

Haven't taken any pictures of the process, but the silicone is curing right now and I'm installing them tonight. Pretty stoked to say the least.

I'll try to upload some output/cutoff shots if I can.

After testing out the new lights last night...holy crap what a difference.

They perform better with a high quality bulb but aftermarket ones are a little step up from these.
I'll take a set! I can upgrade the ones currently on my truck.

For the rubber seal/boot around the ignitor, did you silicone that off? I ended up cutting a hole at the bottom of the rubber seal and pulling the ignitor wire through. Think I should add some silicone around it and to the original holes on the boot?

Sorry if I'm not using the correct terminology. Epoxy worked perfectly on the shrouds btw, thanks for that

I used the existing grommet from the igniter and made a hole just big enough to route the wire through the boot.

Man, what I said was really confusing after I re-read it.

I cut off the grommet on the ignitor entirely and discarded it. On the original boot, I cut a new hole for the ignitor and hi/low wires to go through. The three tiny holes from the headlights original holes are still there. That's what I may need to silicone shut.

Didn't take any great pics of the cutoff/output of the originals, but hopefully you've seen them in this thread

Here is a side by side comparison. I replaced the original projectors with Evox-r 2.0's and 4500k HID's with all the necessary hardware to install them onto an F-150 thanks to theretrofitsource.com

Original

Upgraded

My cutoff still looks a little odd, may have some more adjusting to do

Brights/Hi-beams

These things are SO bright, it's crazy.

All pictures taken with a Google Pixel XL.
