New F150: I really have to turn lights off manually??

Heck, I just like the parking lights on, that's all. My last two vehicles (2008 Tacoma and 4-Runner) had it where I could turn the vehicle on and they'd come on and they'd turn off when I removed the key.
And no, there's DEFINITELY no battery protection system. How do I know? Because I had to jump my F150 this morning with my John Deere, after leaving the parking lights on all night.
I will check and see if the parking lights stay on after the headlamps shut off when it's in Auto mode. That's a possibility. Thank you.

even if you have parking lights, fog lights, brights on with auto it all shuts down when the key is removed. It's brainless and I love it. I had a rental and remembered just how convenient the auto lights are. I turned off the rental and hear this wild ringing. I was thinking what the hell is wrong with this car... and then realized I left the headlights on after i shut the car off and removed the key.

Well im with TJ on this.
It would be nice to have the "just parking lights on" feature, specially if you have added the 3 "Raptor" lights in conjunction with that system. There are many cars "that run" parking lights only when the key is in the ignition. Corvette, Trans-Am, I think the Dodge SRT-8's, ect..
Maybe if you found the relay & tapped into a ignition "hot" side it would work.
