Man them Hot Rod cams sound great.
Im close to interstate 44 just west of Pacific. I think Im the only one out here with a s197 Mustang.

Brenspeed is where im planning on driving to get it all installed and tuned. Just waiting on the funds. Im really eyeing there new B326 short block, wont have the funds for that for a long while lol. So ill just be happy with the blower and cams...for now lol...Im from South east MO, near Poplar Bluff...Wish I could see those MPGs. All im seeing right now is 13-15. Granted its only got 800 miles on it so far, but i was expecting a little better seeing as thats what i get in my dads 98 F150. Oh well I didnt buy for MPG lol I do love this truck already and i can tell im only gonna like it more with time.

lowered, OEM Bullitt Grille, Foose Stallion spolier, SLP loudmouths.
what a fun car. but alas I had to trade it to get my coyote. I needed a truck so I bought a mustang with a bed, a reg cab short bed 2wd 5.0.
I too know all too well about truck money. currently saving my pennies for exhaust.
I hope to have it lowered 2" all around very soon as well.
Thats a good looking car man! Mustangs are just fun cars period! I bet a regular cab 2wd 5.0 runs pretty dang strong! Just a question, did you plasti dip the GT emblems on the car iv been thinking of doing it to the emblems on both vehicle.

I got mine from a Ford Dealer. I really don't understand why our trucks don't ship with them. I was quick to install them after I got my truck...MUCH better. They just look unfinished without them. I do recommend heating them up in the sun to make them more flexible when installing them. It's a bit of a wrestling match.

A shame you couldn't keep it and get the truck, both red of course. Sounds like you had your GT fixed up pretty nice. with the Bullitt grill and no hood scoop, looks like a Red Bullitt coming and a GT passing by. I plan on lowering my Bullitt 1". I got a ton of plans for it, with only 7000 miles I barely started to get my use out of it. Anyway enough with the Mustangs, this is a F150 forum. And im hoping I like this new f150 as much as my past f150's. got 500 miles so far and am liking it a LOT. but it is big & long. that said I hope you also really like yours and don't miss your Red s197 too much.

I bought a pair of them also, from the same dealer I got my truck. like $145. I have not installed them yet. Q: do I have to remove the wheels?

yeah thats it, B326 short block. thats what I was referring to with the forged parts. I want to get that with cams, larger throttle body, blower, etc. basically I want a total drive line upgrade from the clutch on back to be able to handle the 500+ HP.
Your about 150 miles straight south from me. Are there many car shows & cruises in your area? I don't go to them except a month ago 1st time for me, I want to the route 66 cruise.

it was definitely a sharp car. I felt it was tastefully modded and unique in a sea of very common looking stangs. the Foose stallion spoiler was very rare.
worst part is I have seen my car twice now since I traded it in, and I can tell that car from a mile away (no exaggeration). the first time I saw it, it was coming at me from approx a mile away. it was sitting too low, but had the wider tires of a GT, but no fogs. I knew, I just knew and I said, thats my car, I guarantee it. as it got closer I was sure. I turned around and followed it to the new owner's residence and talked to the guy for a few minutes. I miss the car from time to time and I deffinitely miss the fun I had in it. but truth be told I am a truck guy 100% and the stang was me straying from my comfort zone to see how I liked it. now after having owned the mustang I realized and accepted that my heart truly is in a truck, but at the same time that V8 was a must have (the stang was my first V8 ever) so I elected as I said before to get the closest thing I could to a mustang with a bed.
the only thing I really miss is the seats. damn those seats were comfy. I also periodically miss the manual trans, but I got the select shift trans so its a close 2nd, but without the sore left leg when sitting in heavy traffic.

I didn't remove the wheels, and it would be easier to do without them on the truck, but it can be done. If you enjoy jacking up the truck and removing the wheels, then it's a great idea, otherwise, it's not really necessary.

I would love to see a pic of those fenderliners on a 12 F150, so I can judge if I want to be bothered with that addition. There are other things I am planning on doing, adding mudguards, a nice brush guard, tinting the windows (w/ some type of graphic in the back window), and rain guards for the windows.

As for the gentleman (I hope that is right) talking about the mileage he gets, I average around 17.5 in the mountains of Appalachia. After a month of having the truck, I still trip when I see the average MPGs. My heart stopped when it tripped 19.5 heading over the mountains for work. Given my experiences with my 07 F150, I was on the phone to the dealership, because I thought the on-board computer had fragged out.

Only complaint I have had, outside of never turn traction control off on a dirt road, is that the tranny seems to get confused while in cruise control, and the occasional shudder while slowing to a stop. I am assuming that the tranny is used to maintain speed while descending in cruise control. As for that occasional shudder, I think it has to do with the weights on the inside of the rim. Maybe you guys can set me straight on my assumptions.
