Just picked up a new 2010 FX4, love the truck, but looking at replacing the grille...I even like the FX2 grille better than the FX4, too bad the Harley grill is too much $$$$. Also looking for smaller mirrors, currently have the tow mirrors, but they are too big for everyday use IMO. Anybody that has a tip on grilles or mirrors please drop me a line.

2009F150FX4

I have a 2009 FX4 and am in the process of getting a new grille for mine. I am going to order a new grille from www.tascafordparts.com. They have the grille that I want for $330 and the dealer has the same one for $565.

What you gotta do is search online at a dearler site or at like autotrader.com and find the truck that has the grille you want. Get the VIN # and then call tasca ford parts and give the VIN to them and they can order the same grille thats on that truck.

Ofcourse this is only if you are looking to replace your grille with a better looking Ford Grille, ie. chrome version of FX4 grille.

But if you plan to sell your mirrors after getting new ones, hit us up. I'm actually thinking about installing the tow mirrors on my '06. Big item for me though, is trying to find a chrome cover or place to paint the mirrors from the red you have to the silver that I do.

I don't know what grille you want other than the Harley, but I've got a 3 bar chrome on my XLT that I'm looking to trade for something paintable(to make it white).

The biggest reason that I chose the FX4 was because it didn't have a chrome grille. I wanted a black SCrew with ptm bumpers, and a black grille... Won't be replacing my grille any time soon.

Josh,

Do you also have the Platinum grille, or is it the same as the Lariat? I haven't looked real close, but in passing they do look very similar.

If I post a similar thread like this in the 04-08 forum, can you provide us a list and images of the those grilles? Don't have an 09+ F150, but an 06 XLT black honeycome grille that I'm considering upgrading.

You're right, just googled some images and they are considerably different. think I was thrown off my the chrome mesh type accents. Still think both look good though.
