Default Need your help...what do you recommend...?

Hey guys... I need your recommendations & suggestions with something....

I wanted to take advantage of some of the discounts goinig on between now and new years. I have an FX4 Supercab on order. I ordered it WITHOUT step bars because I couldn't see paying $600 for chrome ones...frankly, I think they should be standard, but that's a whole other story.

Anyway, I dont want to fork out the money for the retractable ones...and wanted to get your opioion and suggestions on what manufacture is better than another..

I like a wide step such as a 4" or 5" step....and I'm leaning towards a chrome nerf bar setup. I see some of them are W2W and some are cab only.

What are your thoughts as a manufacture.... feel free to post pictures up as well if you have them...

Thank you....

I had Rampage on my 07 Tundra and 08 Tunda and really liked them. Well made and the fit/install was great. A little spendy. I would have them on my 10 F150 but it came w/the plastic ones (chrome package) These are polished stainless

Save your $600 that the dealership wants to charge you for the chrome steps. Save up another 400-500, and buy the Amp Research power steps. These are the exact ones that are on the Platinum. They are super easy to instal, and work soo much better for actually stepping up to your truck

I think the N-fab ones would look at home on your FX4.

I have a Platinum with the power steps and I love them. I had to rent a Chevy recently without steps and what a pain it was to get in especially for my wife.

I had an 07 RAM before and didn't go with the dealer option, too expensice. I bought after market from a performance shop and got the stainless steel (no chrome) for $200. They were the round tubular type with the plastic step insert.

They actually gave me more foot clearance than the Ford installed ones on my 2010 F150. I feel like I have to turn my foot sideways just to step up on them. Either not enough clearance from the truck or they are not out far enough.

Love the N-Fab steps myself. I have them on my 07 Tundra, and they are powder coated white to match the truck. I get more comments on them than anything else on the truck. I've also seen them in chrome on a blue chevy, and it looks great like that too.

+1

I'm looking at getting these myself. Bestop makes the same ones as well, but the warranty isn't as great as the AMP Research. I know the AR's were throwing in a bed step or bed extender (your choice) for free, but I'm not sure if that promo is going on still.
